New Delhi, 14 August 2022: The Embassy of Mongolia in New Delhi and the World Women Organisation organised the Asian Art Exhibition in New Delhi on 12 to 14 August, with the theme “Confluence of Asian art and Culture to Make ‘One Asia, Strong Asia.
Dr Ashma Begum, World Women Organisation addressed the gathering, stating that before our eyes are closed, we need to see the colour of light. This exhibition is an example, we have started with these colours now we are adding more colours by doing good and hard work with positivity.
“With good and hard work, we can make the artist’s world like a strong world. In this exhibition, we have given the theme of the Confluence of Asian art and Culture to Make ‘One Asia, Strong Asia’ and we are coming up with a strong universe. We are now connecting with the International borders also and it opens a lot of possibilities in terms of art, culture, trade and tourism,” Begum said.
Talking about Assam’s cordial relations with the South East Asian countries, Assam Minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary, in his address said, “Assam is situated in the corner of one country but it is not the corner of a country but the centre of the South East Asian countries. So now, our investments are also coming from the whole market of Southeast Asia that is about 80 crores population market.”
“Many investments are coming into Assam to expand the trade with the South East Asian region and I hope our relationship with South East Asia is cordial and it has happened because of our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We are now invested in nurturing cordial relationships with the neighbouring countries and that way Assam has become the centre of the South East Asian countries,” he added.
“We are now celebrating the 75th anniversary of independence. On 15th August 1947, India had gained independence and now we are also working for our country towards strengthening the economy, we are also changing our social activity, strengthening our education and we want a powerful India,” stated Union Minister, Dr Ramdas Athawale while inaugurating the Asian Art Exhibition.
Therefore today this exhibition has started in the presence of several eminent personalities on behalf of the honourable prime minister’s NDA govt, we welcome all the delegates in India from various places including ambassadors and this is also a good opportunity to get the benefit from the Asian countries, he applauded.
In order to recognise the artists and their talent, certificates will be issued and hopefully every year we are going to organise this event with the Embassy of Mongolia. We are going to celebrate this cultural event to promote Asian art and culture every year, concluded Dr Begum.
The event witnessed presence of Union Minister, Dr Ramdas Athawale, Dr Ashma Begum, World Women Organisation, and Assam Minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary among others.
