Anu Tyagi seeks security cover for husband Shrikant, alleges threat to his life

Noida, 8th September, 2022: Anu Tyagi, wife of Shrikant Tyagi, who has been accused of assaulting a woman in a Noida housing society, has claimed that her husband’s life is in danger and has requested police protection when he is taken to court.
She has filed an application before Surajpur district court demanding security cover. Anu claimed that thug Vinay Tyagi had threatened her husband.
Tyagi was detained by Noida police on charges of molestation, rioting, cheating, and violating applicable Gangster Act sections. He has been in judicial custody since August 9 and is being kept at the Luksar jail.
Anu stated in her application to the court that her husband was fatally injured in a prior attack by gangster Vinay Tyagi. Tyagi was given ‘Y’ category security following the attack, however it was later rescinded.
Anu further said “Vinay Tyagi and his cronies may attack her husband Shrikant Tyagi while he is commuting from jail to Surajpur court for court appearances. As a result, I seek that the court provide Shrikant Tyagi immediate security.”
Anu further requested that Shrikant Tyagi be given with 19 constables armed with automatic firearms, a bulletproof vest, and an anti-riot vehicle while being taken from jail to the court. The court has yet to rule on the plea.
On August 9, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) detained Shrikant Tyagi in Meerut. Tyagi is accused of attacking a woman who lives in Noida’s Grand Omaxe society in Sector 93B.
