New Delhi (12/10/2022): The Union Cabinet gave the ex post facto approval for the payment of the Productivity Linked Bonus.
This bonus is linked to the railway employees for the financial year of 2021-2022. The payment is made before the holidays of Dusshera and Puja.
This year as well, the PLB amount has been valid for around 11.27 lakh non gazette railway employees. Amount eligible per employee is Rs 17951 for the duration of 78 days. The amount paid is to various categories including track maintainers, drivers and guards, station masters, technicians and others.
This decision of the PLB payment has been made despite the financial conditions caused by the post Covid challenges. The payment of PLB is an incentive to motivate the employees to work towards the improvement in their performance.
