New Delhi (India), 23rd March 2023: Indian- American Rahul Roy was named as the next CEO of Grammarly. Indian origin people have successfully taken reign and have bagged multiple top executives roles in leading corporate companies. Grammarly is just another name now added to the list.
Grammarly, is a San Francisco-based business that offers artificial intelligence-based writing help in English, including checks for plagiarism and errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Their website and app is mostly popular with students and is also used by employees to help them in their writing projects.
In an email sent to the employees by the current CEO of Grammarly, Brad Hoover it was announced that Roy would be his successor and would take charge of the position from May 1.
The email said, “We’re now at an inflection point for our product and business. Seizing this moment and reaching the next orders of magnitude requires us to move faster and at a much larger scale. A new era of leadership can help drive this inflection. As such, after twelve years at the helm of Grammarly, I am passing the baton to our current global head of product, Rahul Roy-Chowdhury, who will become CEO on May 1.”
He added in his email that the transition was best done as the business neared its fourteenth anniversary.
