Will win 35 out of 42 seats: Amit Shah sets the target for BJP in West Bengal

New Delhi (India), April 15, 2023: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, has set the tone for the BJP’s campaign in West Bengal, targeting a staggering 35 of the state’s 42 parliamentary seats in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha election.
In a fiery rally in Suri, Shah lambasted Mamata Banerjee, Trinamool Congress’s National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, and Anubrata Mondal, the powerful TMC district president for Birbhum who is currently in jail.
Shah took advantage of Mondal’s absence and launched a blistering attack on Banerjee’s misrule, promising to put an end to corruption in the state. He also touched upon the BJP’s achievements in stopping cow smuggling and preventing infiltration in Bengal, making a strong pitch for his party to take the reins of power in the state.
The TMC, however, hit back at Shah, accusing him of using central agencies to target the party and labeling him a “seasonal bird” who only shows up during elections. Despite the TMC’s criticisms, Shah appears determined to make his mark in the state and turn the tide in favor of the BJP.
