New Delhi (India), 19th April 2023: Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) Lok Sabha member, Supriya Sule, has made a veiled but strong statement indicating that two significant political events are set to take place in the next 15 days, one in Delhi and the other in Maharashtra.
Sule’s comments came in response to Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi chief Prakash Ambedkar’s earlier statement about the occurrence of political “blasts” in the state within the same timeframe.
Sule, who is the daughter of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, refrained from providing further details about the upcoming political events. However, her statement is enough to suggest that political developments in both the state and the national capital are likely to unfold soon.
Amidst rumors of a potential political realignment, Sule’s cousin and senior NCP leader, Ajit Pawar, has recently stated that he will continue to serve the party and dismissed speculations about his possible alignment with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
When questioned about the supposed dissent within the party and the likelihood of some MLAs shifting allegiances, Sule expressed her confidence in the party leadership’s ability to manage the situation. She asserted that Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar, and NCP state chief Jayant Patil are accessible to all MLAs, and she herself maintains constant communication with them.
While the exact nature of the anticipated political events remains unknown, Sule’s statement has generated widespread interest and speculation. The developments are likely to have significant implications for Maharashtra’s political landscape and the country’s broader political scenario.
