New Delhi (India), 21st May 2023: Apple published the iOS 16.5 update before the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, which could be the final big iOS 16 upgrade. The update, which is available for iPhone 8 and later models, adds new functionality and addresses several bugs.
Apple News now features a ‘Sports’ tab. Users may track different leagues and follow their preferred players and teams on the new portal. Furthermore, the ‘My Sports’ schedule and scorecards in the app will open a new tab where users can acquire additional information about games.
The most recent version also includes a pride celebration wallpaper with animations to honour the LGBTQ+ community, which can be set on both the home and lock screens. This perfectly aligns with the upcoming Pride Month in the month of June.
In terms of bug updates, Apple appears to have finally resolved a slew of issues, including Spotlight becoming unusable, Screen Time settings resetting or failing to sync across devices, and Podcasts in CarPlay failing to load material.
To download the update one simply needs to head over to Settings then to Software Updates. There you will find an option to install iOS 16.5 which you can accomplish by connecting your phone to the wifi or simply give your phone permission to use your mobile data.
