Kolkata, 28th May 2023: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress National Secretary Abhishek Banerjee lashed out against the opposition for undermining the party’s power.
The political duo conducted the state-wide Jono Sanjog Yatra as a part of the Trinamool Nabo Jowarcampaign, which the party is running to prepare for the upcoming panchayat elections in the state.
During an address, Abhishek Banerjee took a jibe at the BJP officials in the state, who allegedly ‘made a huge fuss’ about the yatra and claimed that he wouldn’t ‘last on the road even six days, let alone 60.’
He emphasised that it was now the 32nd day of the yatra, and their spirits remained intact even in adverse weather conditions such as storms, searing heat, thundershowers, opposition’s taunts and even CBI’s harassment. Nothing managed to break the party’s will and resolve, he said.
