Bengaluru Police Warns Against Communal Spin in Double Murder Case; Three Arrested

Bengaluru, July 14, 2023: The Bengaluru police issued a stern warning today to social media users, urging them not to give a communal spin to a recent double murder case. The victims, identified as Vinu Kumar, CEO of Aeronics Media Pvt Ltd, and Phanindra Subramanya, the firm’s Managing Director, were allegedly killed by an ex-employee and his accomplices. The police emphasized that the investigation is currently underway and urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified claims related to the murder.

In response to a tweet claiming that one of the victims, Phaneendra Subramanyam, was a Hindu leader, the Bengaluru police clarified, “Pertaining to this incident, the alleged accused have been arrested and an FIR has been registered at @amruthahallips. We request namma public to refrain from sharing this incident further while the investigation is underway.”

The Bengaluru police swiftly apprehended three individuals in connection with the double murder. The arrested suspects were identified as Shabarish alias Felix (27), Vinay Reddy (23), and Santosh alias Santhu (26). One of the perpetrators is believed to be a former employee of Aeronics Media Pvt Ltd. The assailants forcibly entered the company’s office located at Pampa Extension near Amruthahalli, where they mercilessly hacked the CEO and the managing director to death. Investigators suspect that business rivalry may have been the motive behind this heinous act. Despite being rushed to the hospital, both Vinu Kumar, aged 40, and Phanindra Subramanya, aged 36, succumbed to their severe injuries.

An FIR has been lodged, and the police are diligently pursuing their investigation into the case. The authorities are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure a fair trial. In light of these developments, the public is urged to exercise restraint and avoid spreading unverified information that may fuel communal tensions. The Bengaluru police reassured the citizens that they are committed to upholding the law and preserving the peace and harmony of the city.
