Amid talks of tension in Deol family, Esha extends best wishes for Sunny Deol’s next film

Mumbai, (28/07/2023): In a rare acknowledgment, star Esha Deol has commented about half-brother Sunny Deol’s new film, Gadar 2, weeks after gaining notice for their internal family tensions. Esha is the daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, while Sunny is the eldest son of Dharmendra and his first wife, Prakash Kaur.

Esha took to Instagram on Thursday to share the trailer for Sunny’s latest flick, Gadar 2. She didn’t write a note, but she did tweet a sequence of emojis congratulating him, complimenting the trailer, and expressing her love with a heart.

Esha did not attend Sunny’s son Karan Deol’s recent wedding, sparking suspicions about their relationship.

Hema Malini and her two daughters, Esha and Ahana, have generally stayed silent about Dharmendra’s first wife and their four children.

Dharmendra appeared to apologise to Hema and their two kids recently in a social media post about not personally calling them to invite them to Karan’s wedding. Hema and her two daughters did not attend any festivities.

Esha did, however, congratulate Karan on his wedding a day later. She wrote, “Congratulations Karan and Drisha. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness and happiness. Lots of love.”

Gadar 2 is the sequel of Anil Sharma’s 2001 smash blockbuster Gadar. In the sequel, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma will reprise their roles as Tara Singh, Sakeena, and Jeete, respectively. The film will be released on August 11 and will battle at the box office with OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi.
