Galgotias University adopts Kanarsa Kanarsi village for agricultural development

School of Agriculture, Galgotias University and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, District Gautam Buddha Nagar jointly organized Kisan Gosthi at Kanarsa-Kanarasi village to discuss new innovations in agriculture with the farmers.
Dr. Mayank Rai, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, District Gautam Buddha Nagar, said that for the first time, a private university, Galgotias University, has adopted a village for development and organized a common platform for students, farmers and scientists together. This is very amazing and unprecedented in itself. Block heads, village heads and farmers wholeheartedly appreciated the efforts made by the scientists of Galgotias University.
Dr. K. Mallikarjuna Babu, Vice Chancellor of the University, said that the School of Agriculture of Galgotias University in the adopted village will work towards providing food and nutritional security, socio-economic upliftment to the farmers in order to lead a comfortable life with minimum environmental degradation.
University Chancellor Sunil Galgotia said that organizing this Kisan Gosthi today will bring a revolutionary change in the field of agriculture in the village in times to come.
University CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia said that the most important thing about this event was that agricultural scientists, students and farmers got the opportunity to gather together on one platform.
University Director Aradhana Galgotia appreciated the efforts of the school which is focussed to work on Sustainable Development Goals in the area.
