New Delhi (03/09/2024) Indian para archers Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar (Galgotias University) Wins Bronze Medal .
Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar defeated Italy’s Eleonora Sarti and Matteo Bonacina in the bronze medal match at the Paris Paralympics 2024.
Rakesh Kumar is Galgotias University student from B.A. and he will be receiving Paralympic Bronze Medal in mixed team compound .
Following their win, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the two athletes for winning the bronze. “Teamwork triumphs! Congratulations to Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar on winning the Bronze in Mixed Team Compound Open Archery. They have demonstrated remarkable dexterity and determination. India is delighted by this feat,” Modi wrote in a post on X.
Dr Dhruv Galgotia CEO Galgotias University congratulated the winning duo and Suhas LY IAS for winning medals at Paralympic . He also said that their student Rakesh Kumar will be felicitated in a befitting manner .
