New Delhi: A wave of pride and emotion swept through Indira Gandhi International Airport as Rakesh Kumar, an alumnus of Galgotias University and bronze medalist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, and Sarita Devi, a standout athlete who also competed with distinction, returned to a hero’s welcome. Upon stepping onto the sacred soil of their homeland, both athletes were visibly moved, with tears of joy marking the culmination of their incredible journey.

Rakesh Kumar, who clinched the bronze medal, and Sarita Devi, who made an impressive run to the quarterfinals, were greeted by a grand reception organized by Galgotias University.
