Galgotias College of Pharmacy successfully concluded the two-day “Pharmacy Innovative Summit 2024,” which was held from November 15 to November 16, 2024. The theme of the international conference was “Shaping the Future of Medicine Through Innovations in Drug Discovery and Delivery for Better Healthcare.” The event witnessed the participation of over 450 delegates, including academic, industrial experts, researchers, and professionals across the globe. The conference provided a significant platform for exchanging knowledge and collaboration.

Key Highlights of the Two-Day Sessions:

Dr. Karsten Mäder delivered a lecture on “Parenteral Controlled Release: Medical Needs, Challenges, and New Developments,” emphasizing the importance of sustained drug delivery systems in managing chronic diseases.
Dr. Farhan Jalees Ahmad from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, discussed modern trends in drug delivery, highlighting the use of innovative methods such as liposomes and nanoparticles.
Professor Dr. Neeraj Fuloria from AIMST University, Malaysia, presented on Orthomolecular Medicine, focusing on the utilization of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals in the body.
Dr. Ketan Patel from St. John’s University, New York, shed light on emerging manufacturing technologies for next-generation drug delivery and urged participants to adopt new innovations in pharmaceutical sciences.

Key discussions on the Second Day:

Dr. Devesh Tiwari from Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University spoke on “Local Knowledge, Global Impact,” by addressing the role of traditional medicine and grassroots innovations. Following this, former INMAS-DRDO Scientist “G,” Dr. Asim Bhatnagar, discussed the commercialization of pharmaceutical innovations. Dr. Tudor Arvinte from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, presented case studies on the aggregation of biopharmaceuticals in human plasma, discussing drugs such as Pegfilgrastim and Filgrastim.

Interactive Sessions and Awards Ceremony: The conference featured oral and poster presentations from representatives of various national and international universities, conducted in both online and offline modes. The presentations were evaluated by a panel of scientific experts, and awards were given for the best oral and poster presentations.

Closing Ceremony: The conference concluded with a closing ceremony and the distribution of certificates to all participants. The event coordinator, Dr. Shaheen Sultana, delivered a vote of thanks, appreciating the tireless efforts of the organizing committee, students, and non-teaching staff.

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University praised the enthusiastic contributions of the participants and stated that such international conferences foster innovation and collaboration in pharmaceutical sciences which ultimately contribute for improving healthcare outcomes.
