#AAM AADMI PARTY – student wing launch on Saturday
- · CYSS formal launch on Saturday at 3 PM
- · Main aim is to remove cynicism and negativity associated with student politics in the country
- · It will make students aware about the dangers of communalism and caste based politics
- · Students cannot be merely treated as voting catching machines of their parent political parties
The Delhi unit of Aam Aadmi Party’s student wing CYSS (Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti) will be formally launched on Saturday September 27, to coincide with the 107th birth anniversary of freedom struggle martyr, Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The CYSS will strive to dispel negativity associated with student politics in the country and its aim will be to channelize the positive energy of the student power towards nation building.
CYSS stands committed to oppose communalism in all its forms and to fight against politics based on caste and creed. (Please find attached the CYSS vision document).
The CYSS is of the view that student organisations cannot continue to work as voting catching machines of their parent political parties, which is one of the main reasons behind the public disgust against student politics in the country.
Student organisations need to have a clear vision about combating money and muscle power in politics, which is the root cause for corruption.
The CYSS pledges to remove cynicism about student politics in the country and will fight to change the prevailing discriminatory education system.
The CYSS wants high quality affordable education for all, which should be socially relevant.
The launch programme will be held at Aiwan-e-Ghalib Auditorium (Ghalib Institute), Mata Sundari Lane, ITO, between 3-6 PM on Saturday
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will be the chief guest at the function. Party leaders Kumar Vishwas, Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Sanjay Singh and Lok Sabha MP Bhagwant Mann will also address the students from various universities and colleges of the national capital.
