Greater Noida (1 March 2025): Samsara – The World Academy, a distinguished educational institution in Greater Noida, has been making remarkable strides in the field of education. Known for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, the school has consistently provided an environment where students thrive both nationally and internationally.
In an exclusive conversation, Captain Praveen Roy, the esteemed Principal of Samsara – The World Academy, shared insights into the school’s journey, achievements, challenges, and future vision.
What Sets Samsara Apart?
When asked about the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the school, Captain Praveen Roy emphasized the institution’s unwavering commitment to honesty and sincerity.
Like every school, we have excellent infrastructure, a well-connected transport system, CCTV surveillance, and a low student-to-teacher ratio. However, what truly sets us apart is our integrity. We do what we say, and we say what we do. Samsara stands for truthfulness and honesty. We do not make false promises—our transparency is our biggest strength.
Major Achievements Since Inception
Highlighting the accomplishments of the school, Captain Roy proudly spoke about the success of Samsara’s alumni.
If you visit our alumni board, you will see that our students have made their mark in some of the most prestigious institutions. We have students at IITs, and Ram Manohar Lohia Medical College. Many have excelled in the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other allied services. Beyond national boundaries, our students have secured places in top international universities in Australia. Watching our students grow into professionals and leaders at both national and global levels is the greatest achievement for any educational institution.
Challenges Faced Over the Years
Discussing the challenges faced by the institution, Captain Roy acknowledged the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like every educational institution worldwide, we faced significant challenges during the pandemic. The sudden shift from offline to online learning was a major transition. However, thanks to our dedicated and adaptable faculty, we quickly integrated technology into our teaching methods. Parents and students placed their trust in us, which kept us moving forward during difficult times. Unfortunately, we lost nearly 150 to 200 students as families were forced to relocate to their hometowns due to medical and social reasons. That period was undoubtedly one of the toughest challenges we have faced.
Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) at Samsara
Samsara – The World Academy is a pioneer in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP). Captain Roy explained how the school has embraced the changes introduced by the policy.
We have restructured our foundational learning system by replacing traditional Nursery, Kindergarden, and UKG classes with Bal Vatika 1, Bal Vatika 2, and Bal Vatika 3. Our school places strong emphasis on skill-based education, and we take immense pride in our state-of-the-art Montessori labs, along with dedicated subject-specific labs for Mathematics, Social Science, and Science. We are the only school in the city with such an advanced Montessori lab.
Additionally, we are launching a new Skill Lab to enhance communication skills and facilitate the learning of new languages. Another key initiative is our Soft Skills Development Lab, which will prepare students for an era where international collaborations are crucial. These advancements ensure that our students are well-equipped for the global professional landscape.
CBSE’s Double Board Exams Policy: A Progressive Move
When asked about the CBSE’s new draft policy on double board exams for Class 10, Captain Roy welcomed the initiative.
This progressive step will provide students with another opportunity to improve their performance and reduce exam-related stress. A happy and stress-free student always performs better. This policy ensures that students can give their best while maintaining their mental well-being.
CBSE’s Academic Guidance and Support
Captain Roy also praised CBSE’s proactive role in academic training and faculty development.
The Greater Noida CBSE regional office has been very active in providing academic support. Training sessions for teachers are organized frequently, with experts invited from across the country. The mandatory 50-hour annual training for teachers ensures continuous learning and professional growth. This kind of support from CBSE is commendable and greatly benefits both educators and students.
Top Achievers of Samsara – The World Academy
Sharing details of the top-performing students, Captain Roy expressed immense pride in their accomplishments.
Lavanya Marathiya scored an outstanding 99% in NEET and is currently pursuing medical studies at Ram Manohar Lohia Medical College.
Soumya Gupta secured admission at IIT BHU and recently landed a prestigious job with an annual package of ₹35 lakh.
Aishanya, an IIT Delhi graduate, is now working in Bangalore with an impressive salary package.
These students are a testament to the excellence that Samsara fosters. Their achievements make us extremely proud.
A Message for Parents
Captain Roy had a heartfelt message for parents in Greater Noida.
Every child is born with equal potential. It is the responsibility of parents to provide an environment where children feel nurtured and supported. With the right guidance and encouragement, every child can achieve great success. Keep believing in them, and they will make you proud.
Vision for the Next 5-10 Years
Looking towards the future, Captain Roy envisions a thriving institution filled with enthusiastic learners.
In the next 5-10 years, I see Samsara filled with thousands of students, running through the corridors with joy and excitement. Our goal is not just to create successful professionals but also responsible citizens who contribute positively to society. We aspire to build an institution that nurtures future leaders and changemakers.
The conversation with Captain Praveen Roy provided valuable insights into the journey of Samsara – The World Academy, its achievements, and its future goals. With a strong foundation in honesty, skill-based education, and innovation, the school continues to set new benchmarks in academic excellence.
