Greater Noida News (13/08/2025): The campus of Ursuline Convent Senior Secondary School buzzed with energy and creativity today as it hosted the grand inauguration of “Ursuline Confluence Science Quest 2025.” The event brought together over 200 budding scientists from various schools, showcasing innovative ideas and practical solutions to real-world challenges.

The science exhibition, a flagship initiative of the school, aims to ignite curiosity and promote scientific inquiry among young minds. This year’s edition featured a wide range of projects, highlighting the students’ problem-solving skills and futuristic thinking.

Founder of Ten News Network and Former Research Officer, Govt. of India, Mr. Gajanan Mali attended as Chief Guest and praised the uniqueness of India’s Constitution, which enshrines the development of scientific temperament—an achievement unmatched globally.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2047 Developed India vision, Mr. Mali underlined the central role of science and technology in achieving that goal. He noted that initiatives like Digital India and Startup India are accelerating the nation’s growth and positioning it among the world’s fastest-growing economies.

In an inspiring address, Mr. Mali said, “First of all, let me extend my warm wishes for Independence Day in advance. I am delighted to see this school’s efforts to embed science in every student’s journey. The purpose of such exhibitions is to ignite young minds to innovate and solve societal challenges. Every invention—from the light bulb to modern AI—has been for society’s benefit, not personal gain. Today’s AI era offers great opportunities, but we must also be mindful of its challenges. Sustainable development must guide us so that progress does not harm our environment. The smiles on your faces today reflect the spirit of curiosity and discovery that will lead India towards becoming a developed nation.”

The program was organized under the dynamic leadership of Rev. Sr. Rekha Punia, Principal of the school, with the gracious presence of Rev. Sr. Celine Mathew, Provincial Superior of the Nirmala Province of the UMI’s. In the vote of thanks, the school expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, calling his presence an honour, a blessing, and a great source of inspiration for all young scientists.
