Minda Corporation to Invest Over ₹500 Crore in New Wiring Harness Project, to Generate 7,000 Jobs

GREATER NOIDA News (17/09/2025): Minda Corporation Limited, a leading player in the Indian automotive components sector, has announced plans to establish a large-scale project dedicated to wiring harness systems, including clusters, sensors, and connectors. The initiative reflects the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in a rapidly evolving global automotive landscape.

The wiring harness division of Minda Corporation has been focusing on advancing design and engineering capabilities to make solutions more cost-efficient while simultaneously enhancing labour productivity. This upcoming project is expected to set new benchmarks in product development and manufacturing efficiency.

The global automotive wiring harness market has been witnessing steady expansion, fueled by the increasing complexity of modern vehicles and the swift adoption of advanced automotive technologies. Industry experts note that the demand for high-quality wiring harnesses is closely tied to the overall growth of the automotive sector, which is currently undergoing a paradigm shift. The rise of electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous mobility solutions, and the widespread integration of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are driving this transformation.

According to the company, the project will involve a total investment of more than ₹500 crore, out of which over ₹250 crore will be allocated towards plant and machinery. In addition to strengthening manufacturing capabilities, this investment is expected to generate significant employment opportunities—creating nearly 2,200 direct jobs and more than 5,000 indirect jobs.

With this move, Minda Corporation aims to contribute not only to the automotive industry’s transition towards next-generation mobility but also to India’s broader objectives of industrial growth and employment generation.
