Greater Noida News (18 December 2025): The Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) is set to host the 39th National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2025) from December 19 to 21, 2025, at the GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLBITM), Greater Noida. The mega convention, jointly organized by QCFI’s Delhi, Lucknow and Gwalior chapters, will be held under the theme “Atma Nirbhar Viksit Bharat”, reflecting the role of quality and continuous improvement in building a self-reliant and developed India.

With participation from over 12,000 delegates representing 650–700 organizations from manufacturing, services, education, healthcare and MSME sectors, NCQC-2025 is recognized as India’s largest annual convention on quality improvement practices.

The Inaugural Session will be held on December 19 at 3:00 PM, while the Valedictory and Prize Distribution Ceremony is scheduled for December 21 at 3:30 PM. Ahead of the convention, QCFI will conduct a Jury Development Program on December 16 to train GL Bajaj faculty on evaluation standards for national-level quality case studies.

Established in 1982, QCFI has been at the forefront of India’s quality movement, promoting Quality Circles, Total Quality Management (TQM) and modern improvement tools. With 35 active chapters across the country, QCFI represents India on a 14-nation international quality committee and has hosted four international conventions.

Recently, QCFI led a 215-team Indian delegation with 560 members to ICQCC-2025 in Taipei, where Indian teams showcased world-class innovations in problem solving and process excellence.

Executive Director D.K. Srivastava said NCQC-2025 will be a landmark event in terms of scale and impact. While interacting with Ten News Network he said, NCQC-2025 will spotlight innovations in service improvement, process capability and cost reduction, which are essential for global competitiveness.

He added, This year, around 2,300 case studies selected from 35 QCFI chapters will be presented at the national level. Some teams from interior and remote regions will also present their work online. These case studies are not academic exercises—they are real solutions to real problems, delivering average financial gains of ₹80 lakh to ₹1 crore per project.

He explained that presentations will be held on December 20 and 21 in 80 parallel halls, with each team given 22 minutes followed by evaluation. Awards will be presented category-wise to recognize excellence and motivate wider adoption of quality practices.

Leadership Voices: Quality as the Foundation of Growth

Avinash Mishra, President, QCFI, emphasized the national relevance of the convention’s theme.

He said, The theme Atma Nirbhar Viksit Bharat underscores our mission to make quality the foundation of India’s self-reliant growth story. Quality is no longer optional—it is central to sustainability, competitiveness and inclusive development.

S.J. Kalokhe, President Emeritus, QCFI, remarked: Quality is not a department; it is a discipline. Every NCQC reaffirms this belief and strengthens India’s quality culture.

Prof. A.K. Mittal, Advisor, QCFI, added: NCQC-2025 will help develop analytical, collaborative and structured thinking habits among participants. These capabilities are critical for building India’s future workforce.

Academia–Industry Integration at GL Bajaj

Welcoming the convention, Prof. Anil Khatri, Vice President (Academia–Industry Interface), GL Bajaj Educational Institutions, said hosting NCQC-2025 aligns strongly with the institute’s vision.

He said, For us, quality education goes far beyond curriculum. It means industry relevance, problem-solving capability, entrepreneurship and innovation. Hosting NCQC-2025 gives our students and faculty a unique opportunity to learn directly from industry on how real-world problems are solved.

Our leadership believes education is not merely a business but a service. Students and industry are both our stakeholders, and this convention will help us build, sustain and spread a culture of quality, Prof. Khatri added.

Prof. Dr. Manju Khatri, Director (Training & Placement), GLBITM, highlighted the event’s significance for students and institutional growth.

She said, It is a privilege for GL Bajaj to host such a prestigious national convention. Nearly 700 industries—from PSUs to global private players such as BHEL, Yamaha, NTPC and many others—will be present on campus. Bringing industry, academia, internships and placements together on one platform is invaluable. This convention will significantly strengthen industry relations, enhance networking opportunities and further improve placements. With strong infrastructure and quality focus, this partnership is beneficial for all stakeholders, she added.

Global Recognition and World Records

QCFI has earned two world records—for the highest delegate participation in a quality convention and the maximum number of faculty training days. The forum aims to surpass these benchmarks at NCQC-2025. India’s growing global stature was evident as 43% of case studies presented internationally in recent years were from India, a sharp rise from just 2–4% in the early years.

Beyond industry, QCFI continues to drive social responsibility through initiatives like the Home 5-S Mission, impacting over one lakh households and supporting the Swachh Bharat Mission. Its simplified TPM and Lean models have enabled MSMEs to adopt cost-effective and sustainable excellence.

From grassroots employees to managing directors, NCQC-2025 will bring together participants across hierarchies and sectors on one common platform—sharing ideas, learning together and celebrating excellence in quality. As India advances toward a self-reliant future, NCQC-2025 stands as a powerful testament to how quality transforms people, processes and the nation itself.
