QCFI’s Three-Day Mahakumbh on ‘Atmanirbhar Viksit Bharat’ Concludes at GL Bajaj

GREATER NOIDA News (23/12/2025): The three-day national Mahakumbh on the theme “Atmanirbhar Viksit Bharat”, organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLBITM), Greater Noida, concluded on a grand note, setting new benchmarks in participation, knowledge sharing and excellence initiatives.
The mega event witnessed the highest-ever participation in QCFI’s history, with 11,296 delegates attending physically and 824 participants joining virtually from across the country. A total of 601 organisations from the manufacturing and service sectors participated on-site, while 170 organisations took part virtually. Over 2,209 case studies were presented physically and 125 Kaizen case studies were shared online, reflecting the depth of continuous improvement practices across Indian industry. Nearly 500 officials from various QCFI chapters were also present, making the event truly national in character.
Addressing the impressive closing ceremony, Chief Guest Kartikay Agrawal, CEO, GLBITM, described the event as a true Mahakumbh of ideas and learning. He said the three-day deliberations showcased the collective strength of Indian organisations in sharing improvement initiatives, innovative case studies and practical ideas aligned with the vision of a developed India. He particularly appreciated the enthusiastic participation of young minds, whose original contributions at their respective workplaces added immense value to the discussions. He termed the event a memorable experience and a powerful platform for collective learning and scaling excellence.

D.K. Srivastava, Executive Director, QCFI, presented a comprehensive report on the event, highlighting that QCFI had once again created history by achieving its highest-ever participation. He also informed the gathering about two world records earned by QCFI during the year, underscoring the organisation’s growing global recognition.
Avinash Mishra, President, QCFI, in his address, lauded the significant contribution of GLBITM and the dedicated efforts of all QCFI chapters in making the Mahakumbh a grand success. He stated that the event marked another important milestone in QCFI’s journey of promoting quality, productivity and excellence.
The concluding session was also addressed by several senior QCFI leaders, including Anil Khatri, Vice President – Industry & Academia, Vinita Kamran, G. Venkatramnan, Chairman, Delhi Chapter, and Avinash Upadhyay, QCFI – Northern Zone, who emphasised the importance of collaboration between industry, academia and quality professionals.
The closing ceremony was attended by all participating teams, during which awards were presented to winning teams by the chief guest and senior QCFI officials. GLBITM also felicitated eminent QCFI leaders, including Satish Kalokhe (President Emeritus), Avinash Mishra (President, QCFI), D.K. Srivastava (Executive Director, QCFI), Ashok Mittal (Advisor, QCFI), G. Venkatramnan (Chairman, Delhi Chapter), and several other distinguished members of the QCFI fraternity.
In the skit presentation category, HINDALCO emerged as the winner, while Shrut TRL secured the first runner-up position and Aditya, Gwalior finished next. Consolation prizes were awarded to QC Ravi (BHEL), Sparton–Vedanta, and the Visionaries Team. Winners of over 20 slogan competitions were also honoured for their creativity and contributions.
More than 20 supporting organisations were felicitated for their role in making the event a success. On the previous day, 14 QCFI chapters were recognised with Chapter Appreciation Awards, including honours for Best Chapters in Category A and B, Best Newsletter, Highest Membership Growth, Highest Participation, and Highest Sales. The recognised chapters included Rourkela, Aurangabad, Ankleshwar, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Thane, Chennai, Pune, Coimbatore, Bhilai, Delhi and Pune.
The Best Director Awards were conferred on S. Yogeshwari, Joydev Sengupta, Leena Pai and Manohar Hegde, while the Best Faculty Awards were presented to V.K. Bhuvan Das, Ravi Srivastava and K.S.V.S. Madhav Rao.
Additionally, the four Zonal Chapter Chairpersons—Jaydeb Nanda, V. Venkataramanan, Thej Kumar and Mr. Balakrishna Rao—along with the four Zonal Secretaries— Mahesh R. Bhoir, A.M. Chakraborty, J. Karthikeyan and G.P. Singh—were felicitated for their leadership and contributions.
The prestigious QCFI Icon Award was presented to eminent professionals including P.V. Satyavartan, S. Ramachandran, Rumale Chandrasekhar, Thomas Mathew, Shailendra Kumar, Manoj Kumar Reddy, M.R. Shashtri, K. Ganapathy, Yeshpal Gupta, Vinita Kamran, P.C. Talreja, Radhey Mohan, Rajiv Jain, Gaurav Vaidya and Rakesh Kumar.
The event also saw active participation from Prof. Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director, GLBITM, Prof. Manju Khatri, Director – Training & Placement, Dr. V.R. Mishra, Dean CDC, along with several other senior officials of GL Bajaj. With its unprecedented scale, rich exchange of ideas and recognition of excellence, the QCFI Mahakumbh at GL Bajaj concluded as a landmark event, reinforcing the collective resolve towards building an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.
