GIMS Director Brig (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta Honoured as Institute Showcases AI Healthcare Innovations in Lucknow

GREATER NOIDA News (14/01/2025): The second day of the AI & Healthcare Innovation Conference held in Lucknow saw wide recognition for Brigadier (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta, Director of the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, for successfully developing a sustainable and replicable medical innovation and incubation ecosystem at the institute.

Senior deans and directors from medical colleges and healthcare institutions across Uttar Pradesh praised the GIMS leadership for creating a strong framework that seamlessly combines clinical expertise, academic research, and artificial intelligence–driven startups. These startups presented a range of advanced AI-powered solutions focused on enhancing clinical decision-making, diagnostics, patient monitoring, hospital workflow optimization, and overall quality of healthcare delivery.

The GIMS exhibition emerged as a key attraction at the event, drawing policymakers, healthcare administrators, clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders. Many visitors expressed keen interest in collaborative opportunities, pilot projects, and the potential adoption of these AI-driven technologies within government healthcare systems.

The recognition received at the conference further reinforced GIMS’s growing reputation as a leading medical innovation and incubation hub in Uttar Pradesh.
