AAGHAZ 2026 Lights Up GIMS Greater Noida with Culture, Creativity and Student Energy

Greater Noida News (11/02/2026): The campus of the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, witnessed an atmosphere of celebration and creativity as its annual cultural festival AAGHAZ 2026 began with great enthusiasm. The fest brought together students, faculty members and guests, offering a vibrant platform for budding medical professionals to express their artistic abilities alongside academic excellence.
On the opening day, the institute resonated with music, dance and colour as students participated in a wide range of cultural competitions. Events such as instrumental music, solo singing, face painting, monologue performances, group dance and a fashion show highlighted the diverse talents of students from MBBS batches 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. The energetic participation and innovative performances turned the day into a lively celebration of youth and creativity.
The performances were assessed by a panel of faculty members including Bharti Bhandari Rathore, P.S. Mittal, Aprajita Panwar, Prerna Agarwal, Payal Jain and A.K. Sahni, whose feedback and encouragement added depth and inspiration to the event. Winners of various competitions were felicitated in the presence of Rambha Pathak, Dean, GIMS, and Ranjana Verma, who appreciated the confidence, teamwork and creativity displayed by the students. They underlined the importance of cultural engagement in shaping well-rounded and empathetic healthcare professionals.
A major attraction of the fest was the fashion show scheduled for the evening, featuring eminent personalities from diverse fields as special guests. The panel included Vasundhara Saluja, a design strategist and fashion professional with over a decade of experience; Indrajeet Rai, Director of Forensic Services at Laxhar Lab and a globally recognised forensic journalist; and Pooja Dewan, a gynaecologist, fertility specialist, singer and recipient of several national honours. The event was opened to all, inviting the wider community to be part of the celebration.
The festivities continued on the second day with an equally engaging lineup of events. Activities such as Twisted Films, declamation, debate and an art exhibition showcased the intellectual depth and creative imagination of the GIMS community. Students impressed audiences with strong viewpoints on contemporary issues, confident oratory skills and innovative storytelling. The art exhibition received special appreciation for its visual appeal and expressive themes.
Adding a lively touch to the evening, a stand-up comedy performance by Mohit Dudeja brought waves of laughter, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere across the auditorium. The enthusiastic involvement of students and faculty members throughout the day reflected a strong sense of unity and shared celebration.
AAGHAZ 2026 continues to stand as a symbol of creativity, collaboration and cultural vibrance at GIMS Greater Noida, strengthening bonds within the institution and leaving lasting memories for all who are part of the festivities.
