GIMS Greater Noida to Mark 11th Foundation Day on February 15

Greater Noida News (14/02/2026): The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, will celebrate its 11th Foundation Day on 15 February 2026, commemorating more than a decade of progress in medical education, healthcare delivery, and academic excellence.

The anniversary will be held under the leadership of Dr (Brig.) Rakesh Gupta and will highlight the institute’s journey as a key government medical institution in Uttar Pradesh. The event is expected to bring together senior officials, academicians, healthcare administrators, and faculty members.

The programme will be graced by Amit K Ghosh, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Medical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who will attend as the Chief Guest. Other eminent guests from the medical and public service sectors are also scheduled to be present.

Proceedings will begin with the formal welcome of the Chief Guest and dignitaries. Dean Dr Rambha Pathak will present the Annual College Report, outlining the institute’s key achievements over the past year, including academic growth, research activities, improvements in infrastructure, and initiatives aimed at community health outreach.

As part of the Foundation Day celebrations, faculty members will be honoured for their notable contributions in teaching, research, and patient care. Students demonstrating exceptional academic performance will also be recognised and awarded.

The Foundation Day event underscores GIMS Greater Noida’s continued commitment to producing skilled healthcare professionals and strengthening public health services, reinforcing its position as a leading centre for medical education and patient care in Uttar Pradesh.
