ITS College of Pharmacy hosts Alumni / Entrepreneur Talk

I.T.S College of Pharmacy conducted an Alumni cum Entrepreneur Talk for students on 21 February 2026, intending to connect learners with experienced professionals and offer insights into the practical aspects of the pharmaceutical field. The session served as an interactive platform where students could learn from the professional journeys and experiences of distinguished alumni. On this occasion, Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman of I.T.S – The Education Group, highlighted the vital role of alumni & entrepreneurs in strengthening the academic community. He emphasized that alumni serve as mentors, role models, and valuable links between the institution and the professional world, inspiring students to learn from their experiences and achievements.

The program began with a welcome address delivered by Dr. S Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy, who warmly welcomed the guest alumni and participants. In his address, he spoke about the growing influence of artificial intelligence in today’s world while emphasizing that the experience and practical insights of industry experts and alumni remain invaluable. He highlighted that such interactions provide students with career guidance, motivation, and a clearer understanding of industry expectations. He appreciated the organising team’s efforts in arranging the event and wished the participants a productive and engaging session.

Mr. Jayant Bhagat, Founder & CEO – Medecule, Founder – Zero to 1, Trustee manju Samvardhan Foundation, spoke on the topic “Fundamentals of Start-ups.” He explained that while ideas are common, successful execution is what makes a startup stand out. He discussed different types of startups, such as scalable startups, small businesses, corporate ventures, and lifestyle startups, and highlighted how startups act as powerful drivers of change in modern economies. He also encouraged students to identify real-world problems, develop practical business plans, and design effective solutions with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Another informative talk was delivered by Mr. Harsh Goswami, Academician, Young Scientist Awardee, NSS Program Coordinator, on “Career Opportunities in Pharma: Your Pathway to Thriving in Your Dream.” He discussed various career options available for pharmacists, key industry roles, and the importance of gaining additional certifications. He advised students to continuously upskill themselves, gain practical experience, build strong resumes, and stay professionally connected through networking.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of 264 attendees present during the session. The interaction enabled students to gain a clearer understanding of career progression, professional challenges, and the essential skills needed to build a successful career in the pharmaceutical sector. Ms. Nidhi, Assistant Professor, presented the vote of thanks and conveyed sincere appreciation to the respected guests, faculty members, students, and organisers for their presence and support. She expressed gratitude to the invited speakers for sharing their valuable experiences and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the coordinators and volunteers in ensuring the smooth execution of the event. She concluded by thanking everyone for their enthusiastic participation, which made the program meaningful and memorable. The event was effectively coordinated by Dr. Sagarika Majhi, along with co-coordinators Mr. Manish, Ms. Sakshi, and Ms. Nidhi. The program concluded with group photographs followed by the National Anthem.
