GBU Law Students Participate in ‘Justice Unplugged 2026’ in New Delhi

Greater Noida News (02/03/2026): A delegation of students from the School of Law, Justice and Governance, Gautam Buddha University, actively participated in the prestigious national-level event Justice Unplugged 2026 – Shaping the Future of Law, held at The Leela Palace, New Delhi, on February 28, 2026. The delegation was led by Dr. Vikram Karuna, Assistant Professor, School of Law, Justice and Governance.
The conference was jointly organized by VIT School of Law in collaboration with The Hindu Group. The event brought together eminent legal professionals, academicians, and thought leaders from across the country to deliberate on the evolving landscape of law and justice in India.
Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India Abhishek Manu Singhvi graced the programme as the Chief Guest. The event also witnessed the distinguished presence of N. Ram, Chairperson of The Hindu Group, and G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology, adding to the academic and intellectual stature of the conference.
The GBU student delegation comprised Siddharth Pratap Anand and Vinay Pratap Singh from the fourth year, along with third-year students Deepika Gautam, Nainshi Sharma, Anshika Sharma, and Anshul Bhati. The students actively engaged in various sessions and discussions held during the event.
Through interactive panel discussions and expert lectures, the participants gained valuable insights into the contemporary relevance of constitutional values, judicial activism, effective advocacy skills, the relationship between the media and the judiciary, and the importance of ethics and accountability in the legal profession. The sessions offered a deeper understanding of the changing dynamics of the Indian legal system.
On this occasion, Dr. K. K. Dwivedi, Dean of the School of Law, Justice and Governance, congratulated the students for their active participation and encouraged them to continue engaging in national-level academic forums, stating that such platforms play a vital role in shaping well-informed and socially responsible legal professionals.
