Galgotias University Ranked Among Top Global Institutions in QS World University Rankings 2026 for Computer Science

Greater Noida, March 27, 2026: Galgotias University has secured a notable position in the QS World University Rankings 2026 by subject for Computer Science and Information Systems, marking a significant milestone in its academic journey and growing global presence.

In the latest rankings released by Quacquarelli Symonds, the university has been placed in the 601–650 global band for Computer Science and Information Systems. At the national level, it ranks 11th among private universities and 30th overall (including government and private institutions) in India for this subject.

University officials stated that the recognition reflects years of sustained effort toward strengthening academic quality, research output, and industry alignment. Over time, the institution has expanded its focus into emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and software engineering, supported by a student-centered active learning ecosystem.

The ranking also positions Galgotias University as the second-highest ranked private university in Uttar Pradesh in this subject area, highlighting the state’s rising profile as an emerging knowledge hub. The development of key infrastructure projects such as the upcoming Noida International Airport is expected to further boost the region’s industry ecosystem and employment opportunities.

Speaking on the achievement, Suneel Galgotia said the recognition reflects a long-term commitment to building a robust academic ecosystem rather than a single milestone. He emphasized that the ranking represents the cumulative efforts made over the years.

Dhruv Galgotia added that the recognition is a result of consistent effort and collaboration among students, faculty, and researchers. He noted that while the university takes pride in the achievement, it remains focused on continuous improvement and long-term goals.

Broader Academic Performance

Beyond subject-specific rankings, Galgotias University has also featured prominently in global rankings. In the QS World University Rankings 2026, the university is placed in the 1201–1400 global band, ranking 15th among private universities and 43rd overall in India.

Additionally, in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, the university secured the 45th position in India and was placed in the 1001–1200 global band, further underscoring its growing international standing.

The university has also been awarded an NAAC A+ accreditation in its first cycle, achieving multiple milestones within just 14 years of establishment.

Officials said these recognitions collectively highlight the institution’s emphasis on teaching excellence, research impact, internationalization, and industry integration, as it continues to develop a future-ready workforce aligned with global demands.
