DWPS Greater Noida Entrusts Young Leaders with Responsibility at Grand Investiture Ceremony 2026

Greater Noida ( 17 May 2026): Delhi World Public School Greater Noida organized its prestigious Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 with great pride, enthusiasm, and ceremonial dignity, celebrating the spirit of leadership, discipline, and responsibility among students. The event marked the formal appointment of the newly elected Student Council members, who were entrusted with key leadership responsibilities for the upcoming academic year.

The ceremony witnessed the participation of school management, faculty members, students, parents, and distinguished guests. The newly elected council members, including the President, Vice President, Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captains, House Captains, Vice House Captains, and Prefects, took the oath of office and pledged to uphold the values, discipline, integrity, and ethos of the institution.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. The atmosphere became even more vibrant with cultural performances presented by students, reflecting the school’s emphasis on holistic development alongside academic excellence. One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was the symbolic sash surrendering ritual, during which the outgoing student council formally passed on their duties and responsibilities to the newly elected leaders, signifying the continuation of the school’s leadership legacy.

The ceremony was graced by Director Kanchan Kumari, Principal Dr. Hema Sharma, distinguished guest Gajanan Mali, Founder of Ten News Network, members of the faculty, and representatives from the media fraternity.

Speaking to Ten News Network after assuming office, the newly appointed student leaders expressed immense gratitude and shared their vision for contributing positively to the school community.

Ishika Chauhan, who was elected as the President of the Student Council, described the position as a role of immense responsibility and accountability. She stated that the faith reposed in her by teachers and fellow students motivates her to work tirelessly for the betterment of the school and ensure that every initiative undertaken under her leadership benefits the student community.

Arvindam, appointed as the Vice President, said that maintaining discipline and ensuring the smooth functioning of school activities would be among his primary responsibilities. He added that he aims to inspire students to perform their duties sincerely and contribute meaningfully to school life.

The newly elected Head Girl, Hasya, described her role as a bridge between students and the student council. She emphasized the importance of effective communication and shared that she would actively work to ensure that students’ concerns, suggestions, and ideas are conveyed properly to the administration. Calling the achievement a dream come true, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to represent her peers.

Lakshay, who assumed the position of Head Boy, stated that discipline, honesty, and integrity are the true qualities of a successful leader. He assured that he would carry out his responsibilities with complete dedication and strive to uphold the values and reputation of the school at every step.

Deepakshi, appointed as Sports Captain, highlighted the significance of sports in shaping confidence, leadership, and discipline among students. She said she aims to encourage greater participation in sports and physical activities while promoting the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the school.

Aadhya Kumari of Class 7 Pearl, elected as a Prefect, said that her responsibility is to maintain discipline in her class while setting a positive example for fellow students. She encouraged her classmates to enjoy school life while remaining focused, disciplined, and sincere in their studies.

Navya from Class 8, who was also elected as a Prefect, expressed happiness and gratitude upon receiving the responsibility. She said she hopes to motivate students, strengthen communication between students and teachers, and successfully balance academics with her leadership duties.

Aayesha Imtiaz of Class 10 Pearl, appointed as the House Captain of Yamuna House, emphasized that every student has the potential to become a leader. She highlighted the importance of trust, teamwork, and mutual respect in building a supportive and progressive school environment.

Chanika, elected as the Vice House Captain of Brahmaputra House, stated that the role would help her develop leadership abilities and gain valuable life experiences. She encouraged students aspiring for leadership positions to remain hardworking, disciplined, and balanced in managing academics and extracurricular responsibilities.

The Investiture Ceremony reflected the school’s unwavering commitment toward nurturing leadership qualities, responsibility, teamwork, and confidence among students. The newly elected council members pledged to fulfill their duties with sincerity and dedication while serving as role models for their peers.
