Greater Noida News (18/05/2026): The cancellation of the NEET 2026 examination following allegations of a question paper leak has sparked nationwide concern among lakhs of medical aspirants and their families. The controversy has not only raised serious questions about the credibility and transparency of the examination system but has also left students anxious and uncertain after months of rigorous preparation. In response to the situation, authorities have announced that the NEET examination will now be reconducted on June 21, 2026.

Sharing her views on the issue, Dr. Heema Sharma, Principal of Delhi Public School, Greater Noida, expressed deep concern over the impact of the paper leak on students and the education system as a whole. Speaking to Ten News Network, she stated that the irresponsible actions of a few individuals have placed the future of lakhs of hardworking students at risk.

Dr. Sharma remarked that the matter goes beyond merely identifying who leaked the paper; the larger question is who orchestrated and enabled such a large-scale breach in the examination process. She noted that when allegations of this magnitude are associated with a reputed national examination body like the National Testing Agency (NTA), it inevitably shakes public confidence and raises doubts about the integrity of the system.

Recalling earlier times, Dr. Sharma said that national-level examinations were once regarded as highly secure and transparent, with incidents of this nature being extremely rare. According to her, the misuse of money, power, and influence by a small group of individuals has resulted in severe consequences for honest and deserving students who dedicated months and even years to preparing for the examination.

Highlighting the emotional and psychological impact on aspirants, she said many students were left distressed and demoralized after learning about the cancellation of the exam. While investigations and legal proceedings may eventually identify those responsible, she emphasized that the uncertainty and stress faced by students remain a serious concern.

Speaking about the role of artificial intelligence, Dr. Sharma clarified that AI itself should not be blamed for such incidents. She described AI as a powerful and transformative tool that is helping India move toward a more advanced and modern education system. However, she added that like any technology, its impact depends entirely on how it is used by individuals.

Commenting on preventive measures, Dr. Sharma stated that the government and examination authorities make sincere efforts to conduct examinations fairly and smoothly. However, loopholes arise when individuals within the system misuse their authority and compromise ethical standards. She expressed confidence that the authorities would identify those involved and ensure strict accountability.

Addressing students who are feeling stressed and discouraged, Dr. Sharma urged them to remain focused, determined, and resilient. She encouraged aspirants not to lose hope or abandon their goals, emphasizing that setbacks should not weaken their confidence or dedication.

Concluding her remarks, Dr. Heema Sharma said that although the NEET paper leak controversy has caused disappointment and anxiety among lakhs of students, it should not deter them from pursuing their dreams. She urged students to continue their preparation wholeheartedly for the re-examination scheduled on June 21, 2026, and expressed hope that stronger safeguards and stricter action against the culprits would help restore trust in the examination system while protecting the interests of deserving candidates.
