UP Government Reviews Preparations for UP International Trade Show 2026; Aims to Attract Buyers from 80 Countries

Lucknow, June 1, 2026: A comprehensive review meeting regarding preparations for the fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 was held under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S. P. Goyal. During the meeting, the proposed master plan and event layout were reviewed, and officials from various departments were directed to ensure all preparations are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The Chief Secretary emphasized that the UP International Trade Show is one of the state’s most prestigious and ambitious events. He directed officials to organize this year’s edition on a grander scale, incorporating greater innovation and enhanced visitor engagement.
He further instructed that the event should effectively showcase Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, glorious history, traditional arts and crafts, tribal culture, folk art, and local traditions, enabling visitors from across India and abroad to experience the state’s cultural diversity.
Under the “One District One Cuisine (ODOC)” initiative, he also directed the establishment of dedicated stalls featuring the state’s unique, historic, and traditional cuisines to promote Uttar Pradesh’s culinary heritage on a global platform.

Special Focus on Branding and Public Outreach
Highlighting the importance of extensive promotion and branding, the Chief Secretary directed that promotional banners for the trade show be immediately displayed on the Chief Minister’s portal as well as on all District Industries Centre (DIC) portals.
He also instructed officials to install hoardings in major cities and airports across the country at least two months prior to the event. Large-scale branding campaigns have been planned in key cities including Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Mumbai, and Delhi, as well as across the Uttar Pradesh Metro network.
Additionally, extensive publicity campaigns will be conducted through newspapers, radio, digital media, and other communication channels to maximize public awareness and participation.
Infrastructure Upgrades Planned in Greater Noida
The meeting also focused on preparations in Greater Noida, including city beautification, repair of approach roads, parking management, and traffic regulation measures.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the inclusion of innovation-driven exhibits from sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, dairy, industry, fisheries, and food processing to enhance the event’s appeal and business potential.
Event Scheduled from September 25–29, 2026
Officials informed the meeting that UP International Trade Show 2026 will be held from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida.

Targeting Buyers from 80 Countries
The state government has set an ambitious target of attracting approximately 550 international buyers from more than 80 countries, along with over 45,000 B2B buyers during the event.
The trade show is expected to generate business inquiries worth approximately ₹5,000 crore, facilitate potential business activities worth ₹20,000 crore, and result in the signing of over 5,000 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
The meeting was attended by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Expo Mart, along with senior officials from the MSME Department, the Greater Noida Authority, and other concerned departments.
