Young Entrepreneurs Seek Flexible Compliance Framework to Boost MSME Growth

Greater Noida News (23/07/2026): Young entrepreneurs in Greater Noida have urged the government to simplify compliance procedures and introduce a more flexible regulatory framework, saying cumbersome processes and administrative hurdles are hampering the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The concerns were raised during a meeting of young industrialists held at Knowledge Park-III on Wednesday, where participants discussed key challenges affecting businesses, including compliance issues, subsidy delays, shortage of skilled workers, inefficiencies in the single-window clearance system, and procedural bottlenecks across government departments.

Entrepreneurs said the existing compliance mechanism lacks uniform standards, forcing businesses to make repeated visits to government offices without clarity on regulatory requirements. They called for reduced paperwork, standardized compliance fees, and the introduction of a minimum fee slab to ensure greater transparency and ease of doing business.

Several industrialists highlighted that enforcement measures are often excessive, with operational factories facing abrupt power disconnections over compliance-related issues. Such actions, they said, disrupt production, lead to financial losses, and damage business relationships with customers. They urged authorities to provide reasonable timelines for compliance instead of taking immediate punitive action.

Entrepreneur emphasized the need for an online system that allows applicants to track the movement of files related to government schemes. MSMEs largely operate on credit, resulting in annual bad debts worth nearly ₹25,000 crore. In addition, substantial amounts remain blocked as input tax credit with the GST department, creating liquidity challenges for businesses.

The meeting concluded with entrepreneurs collectively urging the government to introduce transparent, time-bound, and business-friendly policies that reduce regulatory burdens and strengthen the MSME ecosystem in the region.
