Wipro, Google Cloud Expand AI Partnership; 10,000 Specialists to Drive Gemini Enterprise Adoption
TEN NEWS NETWORK
National News (29/08/2026): Wipro Limited has expanded its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across enterprise operations, with a particular focus on Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI.
As part of the expanded collaboration, Wipro plans to scale its internal use of Gemini Enterprise and equip more than 10,000 AI-certified specialists with advanced AI capabilities. The initiative includes a dedicated team of 1,500 Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who will work to help enterprises move from experimental AI projects to large-scale deployment.
The partnership comes as businesses increasingly look beyond conventional automation and seek AI systems capable of handling complex, multi-step workflows, supporting decision-making and operating across different functions.
Wipro introduces LIFT framework for enterprise AI transformation
To help organizations accelerate the transition to AI-led operations, Wipro has introduced its LIFT (Launch-Ignite-Flywheel-Transform) framework.
The framework is built on Wipro Intelligence, the company’s integrated portfolio of AI platforms, solutions and transformation offerings. It brings together Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise with Wipro’s AI-powered delivery platforms, WINGS and WEGA.
According to Wipro, the combined ecosystem is designed to help businesses progress beyond individual AI-powered tasks and deploy secure, autonomous AI agents across core business processes. The objective is to make AI an integral part of enterprise workflows rather than limiting its use to isolated automation projects.
10,000 AI specialists to support wider adoption
Wipro is also strengthening its workforce capabilities as part of the expanded partnership. More than 10,000 AI-certified specialists will be equipped with advanced AI tools, while over 1,500 certified FDEs will form a specialized team focused on helping customers implement AI at scale.
These engineers will combine Google Cloud’s AI and cloud capabilities with Wipro’s consulting, technology and engineering expertise. The company said the approach is intended to help customers move more efficiently from AI pilots and proofs of concept to enterprise-wide implementation.
Kanwar Singh, Managing Partner and Global Head of Technology Services at Wipro Limited, said AI has become a fundamental element of the company’s strategy and is being integrated into operations and client solutions.
He said the integration of Gemini Enterprise with Wipro Intelligence would help organizations embed AI into everyday business processes, improve agility and generate greater value from their technology investments.
Google Cloud sees growing enterprise demand for Gemini Enterprise
Google Cloud said its collaboration with Wipro is aimed at helping businesses turn AI experimentation into measurable business outcomes. Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud, said the growing demand for Gemini Enterprise demonstrates its relevance for organizations seeking to expand AI adoption.
He added that Wipro’s use of Gemini Enterprise across its own operations and customer-facing platforms provides an example of how enterprises can use agentic AI to improve efficiency and connect technological capabilities with business performance.
Wipro deploys Gemini Enterprise across key functions
Wipro has already begun integrating Gemini Enterprise into its internal operations under its “Operate Better with AI” strategy and “Client Zero” approach.
The company has positioned Gemini Enterprise as a central platform for agentic AI orchestration. Its advanced reasoning and long-context capabilities are being used to develop autonomous AI agents for several business functions.
These include compliance, human resources and sales intelligence, where AI agents can support complex workflows and provide decision-making assistance. Wipro said this represents a shift from basic task automation toward a broader enterprise decision-intelligence layer, in which AI can contribute to multiple stages of business processes.
AI also being integrated into software engineering
The company’s AI expansion extends to software development as well. Wipro has integrated the Antigravity Command Line Interface into its software engineering environment. The integration is designed to support developers throughout different stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing and application modernization.
According to Wipro, the move has generated measurable improvements in development productivity and contributed to a reduction in post-production defects. The company believes that combining agentic AI with its engineering capabilities can help organizations shorten development cycles while improving software quality and modernization efforts.
Wipro’s broader AI strategy
The expanded Google Cloud partnership forms part of Wipro’s wider strategy to make AI central to its technology services and consulting business. Wipro said its AI strategy focuses on integrating intelligent technologies into business operations while helping customers build more adaptable and sustainable enterprises.
The company has more than 240,000 employees and business partners across 65 countries and provides technology services and consulting solutions to organizations globally. With the latest expansion, Wipro and Google Cloud are seeking to deepen the use of Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI across enterprise environments, with the focus shifting from AI experimentation to large-scale, operational deployment.
