Silver prices came under heavy pressure at the end of the week as renewed expectations of tighter US monetary policy pushed Treasury yields and the US dollar higher, weighing on precious metals. Spot silver closed at around $62.49 an ounce, down $2.72 or 4.17%, recording a sharper decline than gold during the same session.
