Gautam Budha society for social welfare was formed sometime back on the initiative of India Expo Centre & Mart (IEML)in its 10th year of inception and the District Magistrate of GautamBudh Nagar. Currently approx. 40 corporate of the district are involved with the activity under their CSR initiatives.

 

On the occasion of 70th Independence Day at slum cluster of sector 9 & 10 Noida,  the Mobile Education Van,, a CSR initiative, through GautamBudha Society for social welfare of India Expo Centre & Mart,was dedicated to the district of GauatmBudh Nagar in the presence of Shri N P Singh, IAS District Magistrate, Shri Vineet Kumar ADM, Shri Makhanlal Gupta CDO and prominent persons such as Shri D Kumar;Shri S.P. Dadoo; ShriTanveer Ahmed;Shri Atul Saluja; Smt. Sindhu Ravi, CEO Niveda Foundation; Mr Naresh Kumar from Wipro and other members of the welfare society said Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.

 

DM interacted with the children and their parents, from the neighboring slum area and explain the necessity and real benefit of education to the M/s Niveda Foundation who are going to operate this project to ensure that the benefit reaches children who are deprived of main stream education and the target of this mobile school should be prepare, motivate and enroll a minimum of 120 children’s to mainstreams school.

 

The education Van is equipped with Audio Visual systems, Water dispenser, stationary and White board and other necessities of a class room. National Book Trust has donated books for the Mobile van. 30 children were enrolled today and a Doctor volunteer ran a medical checkup on all of them. Food supplements were provided to the children and formal classes will start from tomorrow. At this occasion M/s Wipro donated stationary for the CSR initiative further informed Shri Kumar, Chairman, IEML.

 

India Expo Centre & Mart and Gautam Budha Society for social welfare are committed to ensure that the benefits of the CSR initiative reach the last man in the economic hierarchy. In this regards the society has plans to work in the field of covering Education & Skill Development, Sanitation & Women Empowerment, Preventive Healthcare & malnutrition, Environment Sustainability & Safe Drinking Water.
