AAP announces “Aapan Purvanchal” to connect with people

AAP Rajya Sabha MP and  incharge for upcoming delhi assembly elections Mr. Sanjay singh, in a press conference announced the launch of  “Aapan Purvanchal” (आपन पूर्वांचल)-an initiative  to connect with people of purvanchal .

“This campaign will start on 6th october, 2019 and end on 20th November 2019.The goal of this dialogue is to connect with our voters and explain them the good work done by Kejriwal government for the people of purvanchal,” he said.

He added that under this initiative more than 300 meetings will  be organized and he will personally attend around 150 meetings. He will be supported and accompanied  by  AAP national spokesperson Dilip Pandey, PAC member Durgesh Pathak member, MLA Sanjeev Jha, Purvanchal region president Sanjay Bhagat and all the MLA’s of the respective area.

He said that AAP delhi government has laid new sewer lines in around 500 colonies, constructed roads and spent more than 1000 crores in development projects in areas inhabited by purvanchali people. To celebrate their biggest festival – Chhat puja, Kejriwal led government  has increased the no. of ghats from 72 to 1200, concretizing and lighting them as well.

“Fulfilling the long demand of purvanchali people,Delhi government has declared holiday on chhat puja. Giving recognition to Maithili language, we have introduced it in school curriculum, a feat which even bihar government has not been able to achieve,” he added.

He assured that delhi government will again make lavish arrangements for this year’s chhat puja and celebrate it with full festivity and vigour.

Continuing his blistering attack on BJP and Congress, he reiterated that on the one hand Congress and  BJP ruled states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Assam have inflicted violence, snatched the livelihood and humiliated the people of purvanchal, Kejriwal led delhi government on the other hand has ensured them jobs,provided better amenities for conducting their business and improved their standard of living.

He further said that AAP government will start similar dialogue initiatives for SC/ST, businessmen, minorities, people living in jhuggis and rural areas of delhi catering to different segments of the society.

He concluded that this initiative would be an awareness campaign informing purvanchali people about Kejriwal led delhi government’s efforts and five years work of  development for them.
