AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to address six rallies across India over demonetisation
  • All AAP District units across India will protest against demonetisation on 28th November, 2016
  • National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will address six rallies on the issue over the next few weeks
The Aam Aadmi Party will launch a nationwide stir against the Narendra Modi government’s demonetisation move on November 28. All district units of the party will hold simultaneous protests against the insensitive and incompetent Modi Government. The AAP has maintained right from the beginning that demonetisation was a scam of Rs 8 lakh crore meant to protect and promote economic interests of Mr Modi’s crony capitalist friends at the cost of ordinary people. AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will address six rallies over this issue all over the country.
While addressing a press conference, senior leader and National Spokesperson Ashish Khetan said, “Aam Aadmi Party will demonstrate at all District Headquarters across India to protest against the Rs 8 lakh crore scam. National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will address six rallies over the next four weeks across the country on this issue.” The rallies are scheduled as follows: 1st December – Meerut, 7th December – Varanasi, 18th December – Lucknow, 20th December – Bhopal, 22nd December – Ranchi, 23rd December – Jaipur.
Mr Khetan said that the Delhi Chief Minister will ask the following questions to the Modi Government through these rallies:
1. The diaries seized by the Income Tax Department from the offices of Aditya Birla and Sahara Groups show that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was paid large sums of cash while he was Gujarat Chief Minister. Leaders of other parties are also named in the diaries. Do you think they should all be investigated?
2. Narendra Modi ji has written off loans of Rs 1 lakh and 14 thousand crores of a few companies. Do you think it is right?
3. Rupee Seven lakh crores deposited by  ‘aam aadmi’ in banks after November 8 is being used by Prime Minister to write off the loans of top corporate groups. Do you think this is right?
4. Do you think the Prime Minister should instead take steps to make the top corporate groups to  repay the loans of Rs 8 lakh crores taken from public sector banks?
5. Do you think the Prime Minister should make public the list of 700 Swiss Bank Account holders?
6. Do you think the Prime Minister should take action against those who have deposited Rs 80 lakh crores in foreign banks?
7. A week after Rs 500 & 1000 notes were demonetised, SBI wrote off Rs 1200 crores of Vijay Mallya and Rs 5800 crores of 62 other corporates. Do you think this is right?
The Aam Aadmi Party will take these questions to the people and build a movement against the Modi Government’s blatant disregard for the scale of sufferings unleashed on the poor of this country to serve the interests of his corporate friends.
