Activities at Ayuryog Expo 2019 ends with positive note ahead of final day

Greater Noida – November 9, 2019  –  A day which began with a huge Yogshivir under the guidance of Yogrishi Swami Ramdev Maharaj at 6 am in the morning  concluded with a Valedictory ceremony which ended an event of great importance for the Ayurved, Yog and Naturopathy industry informed Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – IEML.

Padamshri Swami Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja, President of the European Yoga Confederation was the Chief Guest of valedictory session.   Shri Shantmanu, Development Commissioner [Handicrafts] was the Guest of Honour of Valedictory session.

The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr HR Nagendra, [Chairman AyurYog Expo, Steering Committee], Padamshri Swami Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja, Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puri, Jain Acharya Dr. Lokesh, [Founder, Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti]. Dr. Raghavendra Rao, Director, CCRYN, Dr. K. Subrahmanyam, Advisor to Chancellor, S-VYASA Yoga University, Dr. Jaydeep Arya, Chief Central Coordinator, Bharat Swabhiman Trust, Mr. Sudeep Sarkar, CEO, IEML and Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – IEML.

The Valedictory and Satsang which concluded the Knowledge and Scientific Sessions and other activities of AYURYOG EXPO 2019 took place on November 9, evening at the India Expo Mart and Centre in Greater Noida.

Kicking things off at the ceremony Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, IEML and Director General, EPCH said, “I feel immense pride to be part of AYURYOG EXPO 2019 and what it has been able to achieve in its first edition. This is our  contribution, along with Guruji, DR HR Nagendra’s immense support and guidance, to organise AYURYOG Expo.   The idea was to meet and help bridge a gap the need for the spread of Ayurveda, Yoga and Wellness.  AYURYOG EXPO 2019 was an effort which brought together for the first time, the huge and important sciences of Ayurved, Yog and Naturopathy”.

Dr Naveen KV, President, INYGMA, gave a report on the Knowledge and Scientific Sessions which took place at AYURYOG EXPO 2019 and said, “While Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy are well established in India, there is a challenge to make these systems of Indian medicine globally recognised, prescribed and insured as China has done for acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine”.

Chairman of the Advisory Council, Dr HR Nagendra, President, Indian Yoga Association in said that  “This was one of the biggest conferences and expo and platform for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy. We have gathered so many people it is quite remarkable”.

Chief Guest Padamshri Swami Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja said a few words about his experience at AYURYOG EXPO 2019. He said, “ A Yoga teacher should have the same training as a medical doctor. A Masters Degree and A PHD degree and the same social prestige as a medical doctor. This is my struggle now”.

This was followed by Ashirwachan by Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puri; and Jain Acharya Dr Lokesh.

The ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks given by Sudeep Sarkar, CEO, IEML.

The Expo part of the event will continue for one more day and end on November 10, 2019 at 6 pm.

Earlier in the day, saw four scientific sessions which heard speakers of the stature of Dr Vasant Lad, Dr. Yamini Bhushan Tripathi, Dean, Faculty of Ayurveda BHU; Dr. Vasant Lad, Founder, Ayurvedic Institute USA; Dr Arun Chandan, Regional Director, National Medicinal Plants Board;  and Dr. Ishwar V. Basavaraddi, Advisor, Yoga & Naturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH spoke to delegates elaborated Shri Kumar.
