Actor dies of heart attack, leaves industry in shock

Bangalore, 19th February 2023: Tollywood star and politician Taraka Ratna died on 18th February, at the tender age of 39. He breathed his last in the Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bangalore where he had been hospitalised for the past 23 days, after suffering from a massive heart attack last month.

Taraka Ratna was a beloved Tollywood actor and an emerging political figure in the South. He was born on 22nd February 1983 and passed away on 18th February 2023, just 4 days before his 40th birthday. He made his debut with the movie Okato Number Kurraadu and since then he never looked back.

He has starred in several Tollywood Movies such as Taarak, Devineni, Yuva Rathna, Amaravathi, Jai Sena, Prajapathi and many more. He often played the lead role in movies but could also be seen as an antagonist in others. He was last seen in the movies ‘Saradhi’ and ‘S5 NO Exit’ and also made his OTT debut the previous year.

Taraka had suffered from a massive heart attack on January 27th during a roadshow event, ‘Yuva Galam’, in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh for his cousin Nara Lokesh’s Political party.

Taraka had fainted during the show and was rushed to the Hospital in Kuppam for primary aid and later shifted to Bangalore for advanced procedures. His heart had suffered significant damage and despite receiving state-of-the-art treatment he died of a heart attack on Mahashivratri.

Taraka’s death left people confused and dismayed, thousands took to the internet to express their grief. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and expressed his condolences on the death of Nandamuri Taraka Ratna Garu.

Other actors such as Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi Konidela also tweeted their respects for the actor. Taraka’s mortal remains will be placed at the Telugu Film Chamber on Monday, so that people could visit him and pay their last respects. He would be cremated at the Maha Prasthanam on Monday evening.
