Greater Noida (11/04/2017) : National Human Right Commission has issued notice and sought report from Gautam Buddh Nagar administration against framing of cases on innocent people. Commission has received various complaints from NSG society residents about framing of wrong people in African assault incident.

It is being said that many people who were part of peaceful candle light vigil have been inappropriately framed in case pertaining to thrashing of African resident in a city mall. NSG residents allege that permission has been sought and granted by the district administration for a candlelight march from NSG to Parichowk. Some people who were present at Parichowk have been charged with assault case in Ansal Plaza mall.

In a statement issued on its website, the NHRC has said, “According to the complaint by some residents of the society, the students and their parents, living in the NSG society, are being harassed in the name of the investigations in African assault incident. As a result they are so petrified that they are not able to go to attend schools and colleges even as Board Exams are in progress”.

NHRC has given four weeks to concerned authorities to submit a reply in the matter.
