After Two Days of deliberations, three ministers Committee announces relief measures for buyers

• Amrapali Buyers exempted from paying any further amount to builder until possession• Jaypee promises to deliver 600 projects per month starting November, 2017

.• Measures to be implemented to insure flat buyers with paid electricity bill don’t face power disconnection

.• Police directed to file FIR on builders against whom buyers produced necessary documents that show violation under IPC sections

.• Co-builders identified to assist Amrapali in finishing its project.

On CM Yogi Adityanath’s initiative a high level committee of three ministers was formed. The committee included Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna, Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana and Minister of State(IC) for Cane Development and Sugar Mills Suresh Rana.The committee visited Noida-Greater Noida on 30-31 August and held meetings with all the stakeholders including builders, buyers, district administration and officials from Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority.After listening to concerns of all involved, Minister Suresh Khanna on Thursday afternoon briefed the press about the findings of the committee and measures being taken to resolve the issues.Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna said, “We have spoken directly to all stakeholders.On Wednesday delegation met with buyers for 4-5 hours and thereafter also had meeting with the concerned builders. The major issue that has come to us is of Amrapali builders, Jaypee Associates, jaypee Infratech and Unitech.”

Minister further acknowledged the long delay and said, “We can now see a situation of deadlock and based on our communication we have observed that 99% buyers want flat and are satisfied with no other alternative arrangement. In present circumstances we have attempted to offer the best possible solution which is to ensure completion of projects and exempting buyers from paying further instalments till the completion of projects”.He also informed that co-builders will be assigned to Amrapali who in-collaboration will ensure the completion of project.Regarding Jaypee Buyers Minister informed that Jaypee Group has assured that they will start delivering 600 flats every month starting November 2017. Buyers of these projects also do not need to make any further payments till completion.

On Unitech Minister said that PSP of Unitech will be resolved soon. The option of surrendering land is being considered as per present norms. The minister ensured that Buyers interest will be kept on top priority and UP government will make sure that there is no injustice to the buyers at all.

The delegation also acknowledged that there are many other pressing issues of Noida as well which have been noted and a detail has been sought regarding the same from district administration. The delegation will once again visit the twin cities in next month and will take actions to resolve them.
