Ahead of elections in the state, Puducherry Lt Governor announces a 2% reduction in VAT (Value Added Tax) on petrol and diesel in the union territory, reports ANI.
Earlier, Puducherry chief minister V Narayanasamy resigned on Monday ahead of a floor test to prove his majority weeks before completing his tenure.
