(18/01/18) NEW DELHI :
IAS-in-single-attempt-guy, Dr.Roman Saini, aged 22 then, also graduated from India’s top medical institute AIIMS. However even after being a top rank medical professional and an IAS topper, Roman had his calling in something very different : Educating masses!
Hence Roman quit Indian Administrative Services in 2016, returned back money spent on his training by government and co-founded Unacedemy.
Speaking to Ten News today on the sidelines of Indian Digital Summit Roman said, “EduTech is really evolving and I think in next 5-10 years there could be a paradigm shift in this sector in when AI becomes more readily available and is much cheaper than now”.
Roman Saini had co-founded Unacedemy a free E-learning platform that offers courses for preparation of competitive examination including UPSC, SSC etc.
Unacademy has more than 2 million subscribers on YouTube and is touted to be the largest online learning platform in India.
Speaking of it Roman says, ” With Unacademy our motto is to impart free learning to Indian students in their own native language. We have educators from Maharashtra teaching in Marathi, we have some one from Saharanpur explaining tough concepts in their native dialect and so on. So we are basically breaking barriers to cater to this diversified country”.
On next big thing in EduTech Roman says, “It would surely be AI and will have more interactive interface then whatever we have today. The basic challange is to make it readily available and accessible to all which I guess will happen in next five to ten years”.
