Aishwarya Rai Opens Up about Taking her Daughter to Cannes, says she Loves the Vibes

New Delhi (India), 20th May 2023: On Thursday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. Aishwarya has been attending the prestigious film festival for several years, and she was joined this year by her daughter Aaradhya.

In an interview on the margins of the festival, she was asked how she felt about bringing her daughter to Cannes, a city she first visited with her mother when she was a child.

Aishwarya told Film Companion that Aaradhya feels at ease and knows her way around the Cannes Film Festival. When asked what Aaradhya took out from her Cannes experience, she said, “Isn’t this a question that she should be answering? At some point in her life, I guess she will.

Aishwarya further added, “It’s really just about being together. It’s familiar to her. She knows everybody here. It’s really about reuniting with friends. It’s an experience that’s so familiar to her. She’s a lot like me in that sense, we’re people’s people. It begins with that.

Talking more about her daughter he said, “ She loves the place, she loves the vibe. We haven’t ever discussed this, but I’m sure she gets the fact that this is really a film festival, it’s about the world of cinema.”

Aishwarya said it’s ‘great’ to see Aaradhya’s respect’ for the ‘beautiful world of cinema’. “I’m sure it’s all getting soaked in,” she remarked.

For numerous years, Aaradhya has accompanied her mother to Cannes. Aishwarya’s red carpet visits are always anticipated, but her style this year attracted mixed reactions. With some people admiring her hooded aluminium attire, whereas the others, hating it.

Aaradhya was born in 2011, and she regularly joins her mother on such vacations. She recently accompanied Aishwarya at the Ponniyin Selvan: II premiere in Chennai, where she enthusiastically greeted Aishwarya’s co-stars Trisha, Vikram, and Jayam Ravi.
