Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who will visit Noida in the first week of December, is likely to inaugurate a slew of big-ticket infrastructure projects in the city. The CM has been repeatedly instructing officials to complete these projects before the 2017 assembly polls as he is keen on a pro-development image, officials said.
“At least nine projects will be dedicated to the public by the chief minister. The symbolic foundation-laying ceremony of most of these projects was done by the CM from Lucknow in April 2013,” said P K Agarwal, chief executive officer, Noida Authority. “These include a girls college, City Centre underpass, Model Town T-point underpass at NH-24, redevelopment of the Noida Stadium, Noida’s first elevated road, the widened bridge on Shahdara Road near Film City,” he said.
According to sources, Akhilesh is likely to enter Noida from Delhi via the Delhi-Noida-Direct (DND) flyway as part of his Vikas Rath Yatra. He will travel towards the Rajnigandha Crossing and from there to Sector 37 crossroads. Then he will move towards Hoshiarpur and Sector 71 before reaching Sector 60. From there he will visit the newly constructed elevated road before reaching Noida stadium in Sector 21A. There he will address a public meeting.
The CM will also review the three Metro corridors which are being constructed. A ride on the Botanical Garden – Kalindi Kunj Metro route is also on the cards.
On Monday, Agarwal inspected the proposed route of the CM.
District magistrate N P Singh also held a meeting with officials of police and Noida Authority over the CM visit on Monday…(SOURCES TOI)
