Akshay Starrer ‘Selfiee’ witnesses catastrophic opening, fans disappointed

Mumbai (India), 25th February 2023: Akshay Kumar and Emran Hashmi starrer ‘Selfiee’ has performed in an underwhelming way at the opening day box office across the country. At one end the movie was expected to perform decently but the numbers show a different story.

Experts expected the movie to bring decent amount of revenue mounting upto Rs 6-8 crores on its first day of release however the movie could only muster a total of nearly Rs 2.25 crores. The movie couldn’t attract the audience in the morning shows, throughout the day the movie underperformed and the trend was not shifted in the evening shows as well.

Critics fail to understand the reason for the downfall of the movie as it contained all the ingredients for a hit. The movie was presented by the famed Star Studios and had big Production names such as Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, MagicFrames and Cape of Good Films were also associated with ‘Selfiee’. Along with that Akshay Kumar had spent time and immense effort in promoting the movie.

However despite the good reviews, big production houses and two stars leading the film, it seems that ‘Selfiee’ has disappointed the audience and fails to captivate and attract viewers.
