AKTU offers relief to 44 faculty members, wrongful termination to be withdrawn

A good news has come for all 44 faculty members who were discarded by different private engineering and management institutes affiliated to AKTU. The collages had dismissed these faculty members without providing any notice.
Now taking action over the same a grievance cell that was formed by AKTU had ordered the management of colleges to enroll back all their faculty members within seven days. “It has also ordered probe against two colleges, one from Greater Noida and other from Meerut. This order was passed against colleges under chapter 2000 of UPTU Act”, said professor AK Singh member of grievance cell.
Further AK Singh said that “As per the norms colleges have to issue a show cause notice to the faculty members three months before dismissing them from their job. Colleges also have to take permission of University’s Vice Chancellor before doing so. If the college don’t inform the faculty about their dismissal three months before then they have to pay three months salary to them”.
As university is continuously getting complaints of colleges regarding offence of the university norms. So taking action on it university had formed a grievance cell comprising professor of colleges and universality chaired by GB Srivastava. Cell had received 44 complaints from 17 different colleges under AKTU. There after cell held a meeting on 18th and 19th June in Lucknow.
” In the meeting this decision was taken and a copy of that was sent to all the concerned collages. From where number of complaint are more for such colleges a high level committee was formed and the committee will visit the campus soon”, informed professor AK Singh.
