March 20, New Delhi: Former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Member of G23 of Congress, at an event in Jammu said Political parties including Congress create a divide on various grounds.

“Political parties may create a divide 24×7 on basis of religion, caste & other things; I’m not forgiving any party including mine (Congress). Civil society should stay together. Justice must be given to everyone irrespective of caste, religion,” said Ghulam N Azad.

While referring to the 1990 exodus and killing of the Kashmiri Pandits, he said Pakistan and militancy are responsible for what has happened in J&K.

“I believe that Mahatma Gandhi was the biggest Hindu and secularist. Pakistan and militancy are responsible for what has happened in J&K, it has affected all Hindus, Kashmiri pandits, Kashmiri Muslims, Dogras,” said senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad.

His remarks came in the backdrop of the ongoing controversy over the film “The Kashmiri Flies,” which is based on the 1990 exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits.

“The Kashmiri Flies” was released on March 11 and is bearing controversy since then with the BJP & opposition parties sparring over the portrayal of the incidents.
