New Delhi (India), 3rd June 2023: Less than a month after Apple opened its first stores in India, news about the following locations has emerged. According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to add three new locations in India over the next few years. The paper also outlines Apple’s potential global retail strategy.

According to the source, Apple may not look into other locations for its next three stores in India, implying that New Delhi and Mumbai will once again welcome the stores.

According to the article, two additional outlets will open in Mumbai and one in New Delhi. Bloomberg has also revealed speculative places. The two stores could open in Mumbai’s Worli and Borivali neighbourhoods. The second Apple Store in the capital is planned to open in New Delhi’s DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj.

In addition, the report discloses the estimated timelines for these stores. The alleged store in Borivali, Mumbai, is anticipated to open in June 2025, while the one in Worli is expected to open in November 2027. The projected DLF Promenade store is set to open in March 2026.

There was a lot of conjecture, more like optimism, about Apple opening a store in Bengaluru. However, if Bloomberg’s allegation is correct, other cities, like Bengaluru, may have to wait nearly five years for an Apple Store.

The paper also discusses Apple’s aspirations for global retail development. According to the source, Apple may redesign or relocate 13 stores in North America, nine in Europe, and six in Asia. Apple is scheduled to work on 53 new, relocated, or refurbished stores over the next four years.
