With his penchant for fitness, he realized there can be an interesting twist to the existing options by presenting a flexible platform which motivates individuals to aim and attain fitness. Being 1st generation entrepreneur, Akshay has conceptualized the idea of building fitness app to provide ease of access to fitness & recreational activities Akshay comes from a very ordinary background, father is a private school teacher and mother is house wife. Born and brought up in Khor village near Pataudi, Gurgaon. He did his schooling from his village itself and went on for higher education of B. tech from Kurukshetra and MBA from IIM Udaipur. Post completion of studies, worked for companies like Mother Dairy and OLA cabs. The entrepreneurial bug bit him in 2015 as he realized the current gap and huge potential for provide an online fitness, beauty and recreational activity platform for users to explore and indulge into them. For this he did an extensive market research in the cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh etc. to formulate the business idea and hence, the name FITNAPP came in place under the company Metano Technologies. Fitnapp provides its users the access to different kind of Fitness activities across multiple cities & multiple fitness centres at affordable subscription prices and doing deep personalization to suit their lifestyle through flexi-pricing models along with other services.Recently, Fitnapp has received a Pre Series funding from SD group, Noida based business house headed by Mr. DP Das. SD Group having interests in fitness & health, real state sector, education sector, international trading etc. From SD Group Mr. Sanjay K Baliase got associated with Fitnapp as a Director, he is having an enriched &insightful experience of over 22 years in Sales & Marketing. Akshay and Sanjay with a team of IITians are making Fitnapp a holistic platform to provide 360 degree services in health, beauty and fitness which includes services like dietitians, physiotherapist, trainers at home, and fitness expert to provide tailor-made fitness solutions to the users.
