Aqua line metro rail may effect some changes in its stoppages due to low footfall

Greater Noida (31/01/2019) : Noida-Greater Noida’s newly inaugurated Aqua Line Metro is not getting enough number of passengers during its 5 days of service.

Out of total 21 stations falling on the Aqua Line, some of the stations didn’t even crossed the mark of 50 passengers on January 27, which is very low for metro operations as compared to the other stations.

So, concerning about the low footfall in some stations, NMRC has decided to observe the data of footfall at every station for a time period of one month. After which the authority will decide that on which station metro stoppage is required.

Apart from this, with the same data study NMRC will also decide the stoppage stations for its Rapid Metro services.

As per the information, NMRC is also planning to start Rapid Metro services during peak hours.
