(24/03/18) GREATER NOIDA :–

Greater Noida residents have to still wait more to enjoy the metro ride from their city. The much publicized and highly anticipated Aqua Line metro is once again looking to jump its recent deadline. The Metro line which was scheduled to be launched in April 2018 has yet to start with the oscillation trials. As per sources a passenger inauguration can only be expected after three months of oscillation trials.

NMRC officials however claim that while over 95% civil work is complete, the delay has been basically caused by UPPTCL delayed substation. The issue however has been resolved now and UPPTCL has started supplying power to NMRC from second half of March.

The way the trials and constructions are going, the operation for passengers can only be expected to resume from second half of 2018, at the earliest.

Two More Coaches Arrive:

Greater Noida residents have expressed much delight when the first coach of Noida Metro had arrived at the depot situated in Delta. Soon after the first trial run of Greater Noida metro was also flagged-off on the start of January, hence raising the hope of residents for a timely run. Things however don’t go as planned. On a positive note, two more Metro Coaches arrived from China on Thursday hence making the total number of coaches currently with Aqua Line NMRC as three.
